Billing Policy:

We will gladly submit your insurance claims directly for you, provided we have all the necessary information.

We accept and participate with most major insurances and Medicare, however, prior to your test, you should verify that Nuclear Medicine of Naples is a participating provider within your insurance network.

Please note that any co-pays, deductibles and non-covered services are your responsibility. We will be happy to answer any specific questions regarding insurance by contacting us at 239- 263-8001.

PRIOR AUTHORIZATION FOR NUCLEAR STRESS TESTING
AND GENERAL NUCLEAR MEDICINE

In the every changing climate of the healthcare insurance industry, most insurance companies require prior authorization for nuclear stress testing and general nuclear medicine studies. Authorization must be obtained by your referring/ordering physicians office, as they have your history and are able to answer questions pertaining to the particular test your physician has requested. The authorization number MUST be in place before your scheduled testing date. There are some smaller insurances companies that also require pre-authorization so it is best to always check with your insurance carrier prior to your appointment. We are available at any time to help you and your physicians obtain the pre-authorization.

BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD PLANS including Medicare Blue require the referring physicians office to contact the NIA at 1-866-326-6302 or on the web at www.radmd.com

UNITED HEALTH CARE PLANS including Medicare plans by UHC require the referring physicians office to call 1-866-889-8054 or on the web at www.unitedhealthcareonline.com

AETNA plans with the exception of a very few, require the referring physician to contact Med- Solutions for prior authorization by calling 1-888-693-3211 or on the web at www.medsolutions.com

HUMANA HEALTHCARE PLANS require prior authorization by the ordering doctor’s office by calling 1-866-825-1550 or on the web at www.humana.com/providers

CIGNA HEALTHCARE PLANS require pre-certification by the referring physicians office by calling Med-Solutions at 1-888-693-3297 or on the web at www.medsolutions.com
